HISTORY AND TODAY

ATTORNEYS

Originating from the private practice of Konstantin Katzarov, professor of international law, KATZAROV was incorporated in Geneva in 1967. At that time, KATZAROV was one of the first firms to support clients in obtaining industrial property protection in Central and Eastern European countries as well as in communist and ex-communist Asian countries. During four decades of growth, the firm has considerably expanded its activities and now offers assistance in the field of intellectual property in nearly every country throughout the world.

Today, as one of the largest intellectual property firms in Switzerland with a great number of international and local clients, we represent companies in our home country and before European intellectual property authorities. We are also able to act as the hub of a worldwide network of agencies dealing with intellectual property. In particular, our long established contacts with professionals in Central and Eastern European countries, including the successor states of the former Soviet Union and former Yugoslavia, as well as Asian countries, allow us to deal efficiently and directly with the local Patent and Trademark Offices.
