Alexandra Manola, graduated from the University of Belgrade with a M.Sc. chemistry degree and two years studies in the Law Department of the same university. She worked for 18 years as a patent and trademark agent in Belgrade with the law firms Popovic, Popovic, Mikijelj & Popovic, and Mikijelj & Jankovic. Alexandra Manola joined KATZAROV in 1992. She specializes in patent and trademark laws and practice in Central and Eastern Europe, especially in the successor countries of the former Soviet Union and former Yugoslavia. Co-editor of Katzarov’s Manual on Industrial Property®, Alexandra Manola is member of AIPPI and INTA. Of Serbian mother tongue, she is also fluent in English, French, Croatian, Russian and Macedonian.
Milana Pantelic earned her Law Degree from the University of Geneva in 1991 and joined KATZAROV as Swiss Trademark Attorney the same year. She specializes in both Swiss and international trademark laws and practice, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe, including the successor states of the former Soviet Union and former Yugoslavia. She deals with trademark pre-filing work, prosecution, acquisition, transfer, defense and other trademark legal aspects worldwide as well as domain name protection issues. Co-editor of Katzarov’s Manual on Industrial Property®, Milana Pantelic is member of AIPPI and INTA. Of French mother tongue, she is also fluent in English, German and Serbian and has a basic knowledge of Italian.
Andreas Schöllhorn graduated from the University of Tübingen as a biochemist. After a Ph.D. in micro-biology at the University of Zurich and at Ciba-Geigy, he worked as a patent agent for Lonza in Basel. He joined KATZAROV in 2000. As a European Patent Attorney, he has experience with patent prosecution in the field of Biotechnology, Chemistry and Life Science. He is specialized in advising start-up and small and medium sized Biotech companies with regard to intellectual property matters. Andreas Schöllhorn is heading KATZAROV’s Basel office and is a member of AIPPI and VESPA. Of German mother tongue, he is fluent in English and French and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
Eric Richard Noël holds a Law Degree (Lic. Iure) from the University of Louvain (Belgium). Further to extensive experience as a Trademark Attorney gained in European law firms in Brussels, he joined KATZAROV in 2001. A member of INTA, ASIPI, ECTA and LES, Eric Noël specializes in trademark law, including Designs, Unfair Competition and Copyright at a pan-European level and deals with major legal aspects related to Industrial Property such as licensing, mergers, transfers of IP assets as well as domain name protection issues. Of French mother tongue, he is also fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of Dutch, Spanish and German.
Emmanuel Jelsch holds a Master’s degree in biochemistry and a diploma in organic chemistry and plant physiology from the University of Strasbourg. With an engineering degree in pharmacology from the EPHE (Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, University of Paris) he worked as a research engineer in the Glaxo Laboratories in Les Ulis, France. Having graduated from CEIPI in 1996, he acquired an extensive professional experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare companies as a patent agent in charge of the patent departments with the Debio Group, Lausanne, and Bracco SA, Geneva. He joined KATZAROV in 2002. European Patent Attorney since 2003, he graduated in 2007 from CEIPI/EPI in European Patent Litigation. Member of AIPPI and LES, Emmanuel Jelsch specializes in chemistry and biotech inventions and has a good knowledge of the field of medical devices and diagnostics as well. Since 2005, appointed as a WIPO and EU expert for the Patent Agent Training course in developing countries (especially Africa). Of French mother tongue, he is also fluent in English and German.
Gilles Pfend holds a Master’s degree in biochemistry and a post graduate diploma in molecular biology from the University of Strasbourg. After finishing his Ph.D. in molecular biology at the University of Strasbourg and the University Hospital of Lausanne, he worked for one year as a patent agent in a private practice in Lausanne. With KATZAROV since 2001, Gilles Pfend graduated from CEIPI in 2003 and specializes, as a partly qualified European Patent Attorney, he specializes in biotech and chemistry inventions. Of French mother tongue, he is fluent in English and German. Gilles Pfend is a member of the jury for the International Exhibition of Inventions (Geneva) and of AIPPI.
Olivier Sacroug graduated in 1994 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies. After graduating, he was in charge of research and development in a major cable factory. He then coordinated the setting up of a high end computer production line for the European manufacturing center of a US-based company and acted as a link between the development engineers in California and the technical teams in Switzerland. In 1999, he managed the implementation of large computer and telephone networks. Olivier Sacroug started his activities in the field of intellectual property in 2001 in a private practice in Neuchâtel (Switzerland), attending the 2-year EPI/CEIPI European patent law training course. He joined KATZAROV in 2005 as a patent engineer. As a qualified European Patent Attorney, he specializes mainly in the fields of mechanics, electronics, telecommunications and IT. He prosecutes patent and design grant procedures in Europe, Switzerland, and internationally. Olivier Sacroug is a member of AIPPI and VESPA. He was invited several times as a lecturer on Intellectual Property by WIPO and teaches at the Executive MBA in Management of Technology program set up by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Of French mother tongue, he is fluent in English and German, and has basic knowledge of Italian and Russian.
Andrea Manola holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Geneva. In 1999, he participated in a scientific project concerning Malaria vaccine at the Department of Medical and Molecular Parasitology, School of Medicine, New York. Further post-graduate studies were in Project Management at University of Geneva (2005-2006). Andrea Manola worked with the pharmaceutical company Stragen Pharma, Geneva for 5 years. With KATZAROV since 2006, he graduated from CEIPI in 2007 and specializes in pharmaceutical and biotech inventions. Bilingual in French and Serbian, he is also fluent in English, Italian, Croatian and Russian and has a basic knowledge of German.

André Reverdin, honorary president.
André Reverdin holds a diploma in chemistry from the Swiss Institute of Technology in Zurich. After a Ph.D. in chemistry, he worked from 1943 to 1970 in the Swiss industry (Lonza AG, Bally AG), where he held leading positions. Partner of KATZAROV since 1970, he established the reputation of KATZAROV during the seventies and eighties. As a European Patent Attorney specialized in chemistry, as a former member of the Commission for the Revision of Swiss Trademark Law and as editor of Katzarov’s Manual on Industrial Property® he was widely active and is well known among national and international IP practitioners. André Reverdin is no longer actively involved in the operative business but is still of counsel for the firm.

Paul Kovacs graduated as a chemical engineer from the ENSCP (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Paris. After postgraduate studies at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Zurich, he worked for four years as a research associate and for ten years as a patent agent at the Battelle Memorial Institute (Geneva Research Center). Having graduated from CEIPI in 1973, he worked as of 1976 as a European Patent Attorney in private practice. A member of AIPPI and specialized in chemistry and biotech inventions, Paul Kovacs joined KATZAROV in 1994. Of French mother tongue, he is fluent in English, German and Swedish.
